21st October, 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Friends,

In Mark’s Gospel last week we heard Peter ask the question of Jesus, “What about us, we have left everything to follow you?” Today, James and John join in looking for a favour. It is a surprise to say the least that the disciples having followed Jesus, heard what he said over and over again in teaching many, continued to think and behave in human terms. They did not get the message – where was the reward for giving up their lives? We might well ask the same question…..do we get it?

November scripture readings are in the porch.

Kerala Appeal

Thank you so much for taking all the envelopes provided. Many have been returned, please return others ASAP.

Finally:             Barrister to a difficult witness:   “Do you know any of the jury?”

Witness:                                   “More than half Sir.”

Barrister:                                  “Are you willing to swear you know more than half of them?”

Witness:                                   “I am willing to swear I know more than all of them put together.”

Thank you & God Bless you all,
