Baptism is the Sacrament of Faith.  When parents bring their child for Baptism, they are affirming their own Faith, as well as bringing their child into the Faith Community – the Church.

Prior to the Baptism of their child, parents and if possible godparents, will be asked to attend one or more meetings with other parents regarding the sacrament.  Parish catechists and/or the Parish Priest will also be present at these meetings to support parents in this important journey of faith with their child.

Baptisms take place on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month.

Canon Law 868:2 “For an infant to be baptised lawfully, it is required that there be a well-founded hope that the child will be brought up in the Catholic Religion. If such hope is truly lacking, the Baptism is, in accordance with the provisions of particular law, to be deferred and the parents advised of the reason for this.”
